Our summerschool courses give the possibility to focus 5 days on creative work in a nice place surrounded with nature. This time we built up the studio in Lunigiana, Tuscany in Italy (near 5-Terre and Carrara)
Situated in a idyllic place with view over the hills and family atmosphere you will learn the basics of gold- and silversmithing starting with a cast of old material (if you have some old jewellery or silverware you don´t use anymore: bring it with you) inorder to create the wires and sheets you need for your own design.
Since the groops are very small (maximum 2- 3 people) it´s possible to serve each level: beginners or advanced students.
Courses take place from Tuesday to Saturday:
about 28 hours working + 1 excursion
May/June 2023: 16.05. – 20.05.2023, 30.05.-03.05.2023, 06.06.-10.06.2023
September/ October 2023: 12.09. – 16.09.2023 , 18.09.-23.09.2023 and 03.10. – 07.10.2023, 09.10-14.10.2023
In May, June and October it´s possible to book 2 weeks

Applications until 4 months bevore course start get a early bird gratification of 30.-€,
The course takes place with minimum two participants. A one -to-one course is possible with a supplement of 100.-€ (gratifications aren´t possible then)
Materials like copper and brass are for free. You can bring your own silver and gold or buy directly the amount you need. Gold is easy to loose outside but you can bring it with you on your own responibility….
The visit of the Museum of the Statue Stele in Pontremoli are included in the course fee. Alternative it´s possible to go to the beach!

Only on demand: I would be pleased to offer the now legendary mask workshop with Guillaume Airiaud in Tuscany. The results and fun during the 2 to 3 days workshops in the last years have been amazing ! How about 4-5 days !
Starting with paper modelling, you will create your own design, which will be then adapted in forged and riveted brass sheets. You are encouraged to share in advance about your ideas and inspirations per Email. All materials will be provided.
